Classes V - VII

Dear Parents,

This is in reference to the meeting held in our school on Wednesday 3rd February regarding the ICT plan for our school for the session 2016-17. While some of you could not attend, we would like to thank those of you who did attend for your time, interest and for sharing your views / concerns with us.

We feel now as a consequence of our interaction, that there are serious misgivings on your part regarding the efficacy of using tablets in the classrooms. We have always shared a common vision with regard to what is best for the children under our care and we feel that we should not undertake such a big venture without your active support and good wishes.

Therefore, we propose that from April 2016 we start the Flipped Classrooms, continue with using the school’s tablets in class and that your child uses any device at home for home work. During the course of 2016-17 we shall hold a few more presentations / meetings to orient you further on this subject.

We would be very happy to hear from you on these issues. Please do write to principal@sushilabirlagirlschool.com

Thank you,
Yours sincerely,
S. Bose
Principal

Classes V – VII

Dear Parents,

As you are aware we introduced teaching through Tablets as a pilot project in Class VII during the 2015-16 academic session. Our main thrust, keeping in view our mission of empowering the girl child was to liberate the students and transform them from passive learners to independent thinkers and learners.

The recent trends we see in education globally are firstly democratization, that is the availability of content anytime, anywhere and secondly skill development, which includes application of knowledge, innovation etc. And we find that achieving these objectives is best possible through integrating digital learning into our school systems.

We are happy to be able to inform you that the success of our pilot project has motivated us to take further, and bolder steps in this direction and to include students from classes V to VIII within its ambit.

We are therefore, pleased to invite you to a presentation / discussion on the next phase of our ICT plan and make you partners in this endearvour, which is perhaps the first of its kind in the country.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 3rd February 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon in the CPA. Please do attend.

Thank you,
Yours sincerely,
S. Bose
